One of the questions we hear most is ‘what’s the best start-up equipment for T-shirt printing?’ Given the wide range of T-shirt printing options in the market, that’s a challenging question. There’s dye sublimation, laser transfer, print and cut appliqués made with a digital printer and vinyl cutter, direct-to-garment printing, and good old fashioned screen […]
We have recently expanded our t-shirt printing product line with the addition of RICOH ChromaBlast R and SubliJET R systems from Sawgrass. While these provide wonderfully soft and durable color imprints, they do have one drawback. Both are limited to use on white or pastel colored shirts. Imprints on black, dark gray, red, etc require a different approach. That’s why we offer DarkJET inkjet transfer media.
The new ChromaBlast media saves money two ways: lower prices and greater efficiency. It no longer requires a commercial heat press, although use of one is reccommended. You can apply it at home with a standard household iron. It takes onger, but anyone with a firm hand can do it.
